 COURSE OPTIONS: 

HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

DURATION: 2 Months Full-time (2 Weeks practical lodge internship included...)

The course centres around three primary themes of importance, which includes an introduction to hospitality management, an overview of all the key operations at a typical game lodge and the responsibilities to uphold industry standards when working and dealing with employees in the capacity of a manager.  

This HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, offers a comprehensive introduction to this dynamic and diverse business sector.  The course is designed for those with a strong interest in hospitality management, though no prior experience is required. A series of twenty-three detailed modules gradually introduces students to every important skill, trait and insight required to begin or advance an exciting career in this field, combined with practical work experience in a typical bush lodge environment.

COURSE CONTENTS:

BASIC MODULES: Housekeeping (Accommodation Service), Porter Service, Food & Beverage Service, Basic Cookery/Kitchen Operations, Front-of-House operations (Reception Service), Preventative Maintenance, Guest Relations/Customer Service, Function & Management/Coordination. 

MANAGEMENT MODULES: Building High Performance Teams, Advanced Communication, Inspirational Leadership, Staff Motivation, People Management, Performance Coaching, Service Excellence, Employee Relations, Customer Service, Emotional Intelligence, Manager Etiquette, Job-role Suitability Testing, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Time Management & Train the Trainer Training.

GAME LODGE MANAGEMENT COURSE

TEAM LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT COURSE

DURATION: 14 Days Full-time

An intensive 14-day training course focusing on all the key tools and techniques required of new and existing managers in today’s fast moving business environment. Using real life examples and insights from experienced facilitators, participants will leave with a practical toolkit of best practice people management techniques.
